Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on the 20th of July, 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence of space tourism. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin grew up in the space industry and spent the last five years covering the Trump and Biden Space Policy of the Administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. While there, she also covered impeachment proceedings for President Trump, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, she was a frequent traveler with President Trump as well as Vice President Biden frequently. This included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin's camera skills helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their daughter, who is three years old.
